Gas Powered Pipe Cutter on the Street

This was just one of those random things. I was in my studio preparing for a voice recording when I heard this really loud engine noise outside. At first I thought it was the mosquito smoker guys (think leaf blower with smoke shooting out). Whatever it was wasn’t real close, but sounded like it was at my front door.

I wanted to grab my 416 for whatever it was, but knew I didn’t have time. The only thing ready to go was my trusty Nagra Lino sitting next to me. I grabbed a Redhead furry and headed out to the street.

What I found was noisefull bliss! A bunch of workers were cutting down a sewer pipe. Sparks were shooting out the back pretty far, so I couldn’t get as close as I wanted to. You can hear a scooter early on driving between me and the action. Luckily I got there just in time for him to start cutting and finish his work. Unfortunately, in my haste I forgot to bring my phone for a picture.
